Atlus recently announced Persona 5: The Royal. It's a new entry for Persona 5, taking advantage of all the basic gameplay and adding new characters and gameplay elements to the story, effectively transforming it into a new experience. The next game will be released in Japan on October 31, 2019 for the PS4 and is scheduled to be released in the West in 2020. However, there are already organized groups of Warriors of Social Justice trying to get the game censored.

It all started with the launch trailer, which was released on April 24, 2019. You can check out the trailer below, courtesy of GameSpot

As reported by Personal Central, there are new places to find in the third semester, new mini games to play as darts and a pool, new places to explore on the Kichijoji map, new characters to serve as a school counselor Takuto Maruki and new cinematics to watch, but all new additions to Persona 5: The Royal have been completely ignored by groups like ResetEra and the social justice mobs of social media, all due to a single character: Kasumi Yoshizawa.

Did things get stronger in ResetEra in a topic entitled "Should Persona 5 Royal remove problematic things in this new version?".

The forum group reached a consensus that Persona 5: The Royal needed to be censored and certain content removed, which included gay characters, whose portraits they thought were "problematic", as well as covering up the characters and removing any innuendo. addressed to characters like Ann.

It didn't take long for the forum content to start appearing on Twitter.

The new female character was the main focus of criticism from Twitter users SJW. They attacked the look because her thighs are exposed in her knitwear, which fits the fact that she is a rhythmic gymnast. Some even called Atlus "cowards" for not covering Kasumi as one of the fighters in the Mortal Kombat 11 burqa.

It is not the first time that the complaint of SJW groups has attempted to censor a game. For example, ResetEra's incorrect statement of the Japanese version of Catherine: Full Body left the western location up in terms of whether or not it will be censored after the SJWs' complaints. The voice actress who works on the western version acknowledged SJW's complaints and said she would be dealing with fanaticism in the game. So it's a game if it means that the game will be censored.
