Super Meat Boy Forever postponed to "not long after April"

Originally scheduled for April, Super Meat Boy Forever, the sequel to the acclaimed platform game, has been delayed by the developers of Team Meat.
Although there is still no specific release date, the designers indicate that the game should not take long to be officially released.
"We could have sacrificed our minds, bodies and social lives to launch in April 2019, but it's stupid," says the message posted on Twitter. "Team Meat is not a studio any part of a Scrota Malignant corporation that can tell what we do and how we do it. We are lucky enough to have control over how we work and choose not to end ourselves."
"Delays suck, we know, but we're close so it shouldn't be too long a delay," continues the message. "The next trailer we release will have a concrete release date, but until then we are officially launching 'After but not long after April 2019'."
The message also serves as a criticism of the "crunch" culture within the industry, in which developers are forced to work long hours (usually without overtime) to launch the game on schedule.
Super Meat Boy Forever will have versions for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android.
